Today’s showcase is about typography wall art by well-known Australian artist Gemma O’Brien. Her signature work using calligraphic brushwork and illustrated letter-forms are shown on the large displays around the world.
She specialize in lettering, typography and illustration on large work area like walls, huge canvas and billboards. In fact, her art have been recognized by the New York Type Directors Club with Awards of Typographic Excellence.

The last two images above are part of public art campaign during this pandemic period. The large art was placed at Times Square billboard in the New York City. The goal is to show gratitude for the front-line workers and to honor American resilience during the times of difficulty.
